    To folks, friends and fiends alike - Holiday happiness to you all in the form of the latest cracker of the update, as we say farewell to 2020 and bring on the new year! (It's only been 2020 for what feels like the past 5 years -.-)

    (Please note: I'll be releasing more in-depth details closer to the actual date/time the below content goes live at - This post is only a summary of what's coming up - If you have specific questions about upcoming content, they will be answered at a later date).

    New Plants:

    • Stickybomb Rice
      • If you're gonna get stuck on any plant, it'd be Stickybomb Rice with its ability to launch multiple explosive bombs that stick to zombies, causing chaos when they go off!
    • Hocus Crocus
      • A magical plant that sends zombies back to whence they came on the lawn. Zombies, begone!

    New Arena Seasons: Season 23 and Season 24!

    New Penny's Pursuits stuff:

    • New levels: Cowboy levels!
      • The zombies have yee'd their last haw. Git em!

    Fixes and Improvements:

    • Some improvements to download responsiveness.
    • Gem store view in Penny's Pursuit is no longer visually blocked.
    • Resolved a key problematic audio interaction regarding Parasol Zombie and projectiles interacting badly. This is a solution for just one symptom of what is otherwise a very complicated and legacy system that will take more than just a single (or a few) updates to solve for.
    • Excavator Zombie when gummed by Gumnut should no longer softlock the game.
    • Deselecting perks now returns font back to normal.
    • Block/item pushing zombies will no longer spawn in non-sensible lanes (eg, environmental obstacles).
    • Fixed two issues with the store tutorial that would result in a crash at odd moments.
    • When Murkadamia nut is boosted by Moonflower it inflicts damage to almost every zombie except the Robo-cone and the Shield zombies.

    If you do not currently see the update as being available to download, please refresh or check back later. Some local App stores globally may take longer than others to refresh and display the update being available. We don't have control over the App Stores in question so you may need to check back in a bit if you don't immediately see it.

    Music: Grandma Got Run over by a Reindeer - Elmo & Patsy. Apparently this is a North American classic? It's somewhat terrifying and I'd never heard of it until this year…

    The next plants featured in Penny's Pursuit

    The next Penny's Pursuit event is scheduled to feature Snow Pea; this was known before. But now that version 8.6.1 is out, it contains the schedule for the next Penny's Pursuit events and the plants featured in them. The first one will be a long event (3 weeks, a re-make of Wild West), featuring 3 plants; the rest will be normal 7-day events, featuring a single plant.

    Second game is better than first. By a lot. The only thing it isnt better in is:

    • Balance

    • Not all soundtracks are memorable

    • Not any nostalgic feeling

    Its better in graphics,overall music quality,gameplay and mechanics. Admit it. Everyone loves choose your seeds from neon mixtape tour. It is COMPLETELY OK to like the first game more,its all personal preference. Its just that im sure at least half the people who play pvz agree that its better than the first game.

    I recently collected enough seed packets to fill up Missile Toe's seed bar, but it isn't showing up in my plant roster for some reason? Is it a premium plant or will it be available to redeem at a later date?
