Vine Ideas for Other Plant Families

    Posted: 15 Dec 2020 12:31 AM PST

Fila-mint: Scandent Bulb Vine (its incandescent bulb emits electricity that zaps zombies in its lane and adjacent lanes and 'climbs' to other zombies, this scandent plant also "climbs" and creates electric fences with other bulb vines, and it explodes in a flurry of electrical discharge when destroyed)

Winter-mint: Cry-o-vine (its crying tears freeze and chill zombies in its lane when planted, it also cries tears that chill zombies that bite it, and it cries out loud and explodes when destroyed which turns the nearest zombie into ice block)

Ail-mint: Bitter Guard Vine (it lobs bitter melons that briefly stuns and occasionally poisons zombies, it guards with high health, and its bitter taste diverts biting zombies into other lanes)

Enchant-mint: Whizteria Vine (this whiz plant recharges itself and whizzes magic pea that turns the nearest zombie in its lane or adjacent lane randomly into useful resource like sun or rare plant food, or into a plant like puff-shroom, or even shrink or hypnotize them, and when eaten the zombie that ate it is hypnotized, speeding them with a whizzing hysteria)

Contain-mint: Staff Vine (stops all zombies on a medium area when planted, recharges itself and knocks back and slows zombies in its lane, occasionally uses punishing "vine staff" that kicks off sluggish zombies in its lane, and releases stunning gas in its lane when destroyed)

Enforce-mint: Calabash Vine (punches nearby zombies with bottle gourds and bashes itself to the closest zombie when destroyed)

Spear-mint: Arrowhead Vine (shoots piercing arrowhead leaves at zombies in its lane and hides itself when there are nearby zombies but instead hurts them with slowing and spike-y arrowhead leaves)

Appease-mint: Grape Vine (shoots bouncing grapes at zombies in its lane and explodes into bouncing projectiles when destroyed)

    PvZ 1 Mastery

It's been a wacky terrible year and I can't wait for it to be over. May 2021 be a better year for everybody!

Sometime when the real world went nuts in March, I pretty much stopped playing PvZ2 and have only been sporadically playing the original with the aim of maxing everything out. So, for the benefit of all the overly OCD among you all, I give you the following.

All the plants earned, shown in almanac order (gravedigger shown where flower pot would appear as it's the only "free" spot :-)).

All the plants facing the same direction

All the plants take only 3 waterings to get to the feeding/fertilizing point (including the water plants even though it doesn't really matter for them after the 1st plant food)

    Maximum coins earned

    Maximum plant food/fertilizer spray

Guess You Cant Get 10,000 Sun

So I was trying to get every achievement in the game and I was doing the one that required you to get 8,000 sun but I had enough time in the level so I was curious if I could 10,000 but it maxes at 9990 ) :

    Does this happen in pvz2?

Daily Play Routine Share Discussion (all levels welcome!)

    Posted: 14 Dec 2020 07:05 PM PST

I consider myself an intermediate level player, and I'm always learning about new things on this sub! I want to talk about daily playing routines. I thought I was taking advantage of all the daily plays for rewards but it seems I overlooked one!

I definitely learn better through experience rather than having PvZ throw it in my face every time I log in, and if you're like me you may find this post helpful as well. I'll lay my routine out below, with the intention that beginners may find new level they overlooked, and experts can weigh in on plays i might be missing out on.

    1. Play Piñata party 2x (watch ad for second play)

    2. Penny's pursuit - play enough day levels to fuel up if there is no fuel, and then fight zomboss 3x. I do this 2x per day when zomboss is back from "lunch". I've been lazy about playing extra levels after zomboss just for the coins. Doesnt feel worth the time.

    3. Arena - depends on a few things, how easy/fun the current tournament is, if I'm waiting for a time closer to the end of the tourney to join, and if I have enough gauntlets/gems to make out decent. But if I am playing that day, i play as many free plays as possible, and watch the 4/5 ads for gauntlets. (This past zomboss tournament was amazing, high scoring and fun, didn't lose a single match. I think i ended up with 700 crowns that week alone.)

    4. I watch ads for coins (3x))

    5. Head to the store to buy the featured daily three world plant piñatas (20 seeds each) for a combined 15,000 coins, and pick up the free one with 10 seeds, 5 each for two plants)

    6. I was just made aware of the "piñata trackers" and bought the 2 in the store to complete my set of 5 piñatas. I'm still trying to understand - you just play any level, any world, and you get a wee piñata with < 10 seeds from that world? And you can do this 5x a day? Someone else hinted at premium seeds in some of these. Is that true?

This got super long but I hope you enjoyed it! Comment if I've left anything out that I could be doing, or if you have any questions about the above - happy to help!
