Pult plants versus Peashooter plants by PvZ2 world. Posted: 25 Mar 2020 05:05 PM PDT Inspired by this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=heVls3vgKDU This video poses the question on if a team of only "Pult" type plants or a team of Peashooter type plants would be better, with some side-by-side comparisons. However, I find this video to be be a slightly unfair comparison as plenty of the plants (especially pults) have a certain utility that is not accounted for. Pepper-pult is the best example of this, as its main purpose is to warm nearby plants so they won't freeze and to block snowballs, so judging it in a fight where those mechanics aren't present isn't fair. At the same time, judging them in only an Ice Age world is setting up Pults as the winner. Because of this, I think a better way to judge would be to go to every individual world and judge which of the two teams would be better for that world. Then the team that has more worlds they are superior in is the winner. So that is what I am intended on doing. First, here are the rules I am using for this comparison:
Now, going from world-to-world, I believe the competition between the teams would go like this: Ancient Egypt: About a tie. Peashooters have trouble with gravestones blocking their shots while Pults have trouble with removing gravestones. If anyone believes one team would have an advantage over the other for this world, tell me. Pirate Seas: Going by the original video, pults appear better as it beat a level in the world without losing plants while Peashooters lost 2 plants doing the same level, But they had a plant boosted for that world, so I will assume this to be another tie. Wild West: Peashooters have the twin peas which fire backwards to hit the dynamite zombies, and have a higher fire rate for picking off chickens. One point for team Peashooters. Frostbite Caves: Pepper-pult is required to prevent all your plants from freezing, so this gives one point for team Pults. Lost City: This world is hard for both of them due to zombies who block certain attacks. However Melon-Pult or Winter Melon can actually damage a parasol zombie by hitting a nearby zombie and splashing damage onto them, while Peashooters are incapable of hurting shovel zombies. So the world can theoretically be beaten with Pults-only (you'd need to do a lot of level grinding though) while the same can't be said for Peashooters. Two points for team Pults. Far Future: I might be wrong with this, but I believe that if you use plant food on a Pult plants, then them attacking from directly above allows them to hurt zombies protected by Shield Generator zombies, while Peashooters lack a way to bypass those zombies and have to just brute force it. As Pults have more methods for dealing with those zombies, they get a point for this world. That makes for three points for team Pults. Dark ages: Neither team can effectively kill a Jester zombie. It's a tie. Neon Mixtape Tour: Glitter zombies can protect other zombies from the AoE of Melon-pults or Winter Melons, while team Peashooter can use a Primal Pea to knock Glitter zombies back so there's less zombies behind them that they protect. Team Peashooters now has two points. Jurassic Marsh: Twin peashooters are required for hurting the zombies that the pterodactyls put at the back. That's the third point for team Peashooters (head-to-head now). Big Wave Beach: Pults can hit submerged Snorkle Zombies while Peashooters have to wait for them to come up. Team Pults now has four points (though this is a thin advantage). Modern Day: Time rifts can spawn zombies from any world, including Lost City zombies. And as previously mentioned, Pults have an easier time killing parasol zombies than Peashooters have killing shovel zombies. Jester zombies will appear, but when they aren't sun-deprived like in the Dark Ages then they can do the same splash damage trick to have a chance at killing them. Giving one more point to team Pults. This puts Team Pults at the winner with five worlds they have an advantage in to three worlds they have a disadvantage in. However, this isn't the full story. If we factor in premium plants, then team Peashooters have the Electro pea, which allows them to effectively kill shovel and jester zombies (far better than team Pults can). With the Electro pea giving them the point in Dark ages and stealing the point in both Lost City and Modern Day, this plants makes team Peashooter the winner. Thus, answer is that Pults win if prenium plants are not counted, and Peashooters win if premium plants are counted. A pretty balanced result. If you believe I missed anything in this analysis, please tell me. [link] [comments]

Posted: 25 Mar 2020 08:26 AM PDT They have released server side update recently. There are 2 changes that will make game even grinder:
There's no good reason to make these changes except if you want more people to buy microtransctions. And that's not good reason... From what I understand Arena in PvZ 2 used to give much better rewards and then it got "updated" and then it got worse... For the record PvZ 3 coin gain is already very low as it is. So why make it even worse? [link] [comments]
