My Favorite Plants with Stephen!: Electric Blueberry! Posted: 28 Oct 2020 04:41 PM PDT Straight from the mind of Stephen Notley... This week's episode of 'Favorite Plants' may be a shock to some, but mostly it has me craving fried chicken. Let's kick it off! Ah, Electric Blueberry. She's so sweet and unassuming in her appearance. Just bopping lightly up and down, crackling with electricity. And then... BLAMMO! She disintegrates a Gargantuar. Whoa! That came out of nowhere! You have to be careful using Electric Blueberry. For starters, she's got a lonnnnnng cooldown, so you can't spam the board with tons of her. Makes sense, since she does so much damage, and it's part of what can make her so effective in Last Stand levels. But you have to be prepared to build up to getting the most out of Electric Blueberry. She does a ton of damage when she does it, but you can't be sure if it's gonna be delivered where and when you need it, either. Since she picks her targets randomly (though more weighted towards tougher zombies as she levels up), she's not the best at dealing with quick tactical situations as they arise. And, like many glass cannons, she's not so hot against crowds. Delivering 5000 points of damage to a chicken with 1 point of health may be crispy and delicious, but it doesn't help so much in dealing with the other 8 ravenous undead cluckers heading your way. She needs backup, and lots of it. But, if you do give her that backup, then she gives back in spades. It's like having a well-intentioned but slightly erratic superhero in your camp. You're facing off against this insatiable unliving horde, barely beating them back with peas and cactus needles, and then all of a sudden a thundercloud cruises overhead and obliterates an octopus-throwing monster in the back row. Thanks, Electric Blueberry! There are some Last Stand levels that she makes into a total joke. Seriously, take her for a spin on Far Future 22 if you don't believe me. You can set her up at the beginning of the level, hit "Let's Rock!" and go make yourself a sandwich. A big one, like from the old Blondie comic strips. And when you come back, you'll see her casually not letting a single zombie get even a third of the way across the board. She's that good. Don't try it on Pirate Seas 22, though... IT DOESN'T WORK!!! HELP I'M BEING OVERRUN BY ZOMBI... [link] [comments] | ||
