[Arena] Starfruit - Let's see how useful Vines and Pumpkin are? Posted: 12 Jan 2020 11:20 AM PST Note: This is 3 days tournament. After that will be 4 days tournament - Boosterama - the same board, but all plants are boosted. Short tournaments have proportionally smaller tournament rewards. Note: Practice is available 1 day early (Sunday) (Wednesday for Boosterama). New tournament starts tomorrow (Monday) (Thursday for Boosterama). Enter Arena leaderboard first so that the game "knows" your current league, then enter Practice. Otherwise zombies will be too weak (Soil level probably) compared to real Arena and your strategy will not work as good as you think. Note: During early practice zombie scores are probably influenced by the current tournament week. When new week starts scores can be different. You still can find the best strategy, but absolute scores can be higher or lower.
Non-boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Fruit pinata. Boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Fruit pinata, #7 premium pinata x2.
It's a recap of week #30 with less sun. Main thread, My thread, ZombossLab high scores thread, ZombossLab YT video with final high scores in the beginning. Locked plant: Starfruit. Sun: 375. Plant Food: 0 at the start. Note: Torch carries PF, total 4 PFs: 2:30, 2:00, 1:30, 0:45 (may depend on the number of zombies killed instead of time). Time: 3:00.
Banned: Blover, Magnet, the usual 6 (Perfume, Gold Leaf, etc). Zombies: Jurassic (Cone, Bucket, Fossil, Amber), Bully, Torch, Relic hunters, Camel zombies (in Hamsterballz), Excavator (in Hamsterballz).
Hamsterballz: 6 Camel zombies, Excavator Ambushes: Relic hunters land on C4-6. Massive drop: 2:00 =5, 1:10 =5, 0:25 =10 (may depend on the number of zombies killed instead of time). 5 Pterodactyls from the start. There will be more of them later, 3-4 per lane. Note: The best defense against Pterodactyls is to keep zombies at C9. Starfruits can help against Relic hunters and pterodactyls. Pyre and Blastbery Vines (lvl5) are useless against Relic Hunters at least in Jade league: they get eaten in an instant. Pumpkin (lvl5) can protect plants for some time. Shadow Pea + Moonflower seems like a good choice at C1-2 to slow everybody and to swallow zombies dropped by Pterodactyls. But for some reason SPs mess it up too often and zombies walk away. Lawn: 3 yellow power tiles C4 L2-4.
Buffz: Appease-mint (+100%), Spear-mint (+100%). Bruisez: No. Ineffective: Fila-mint.
Minimum info about your strategy: league, plant levels/mastery and score. Or you can post screenshot with the score. Otherwise it's hard to understand whether your strategy will work for other players with different plant levels/mastery and in different leagues.

Posted: 13 Jan 2020 01:44 AM PST Greetings, first post here. Sad as it is,pvz2 has just devolved into just introducing new plants every now and then. Its sad how adventure has ended, and the (imo) stale arena mode is all we have now. Even if modern day marked the end of the adventure mode,i really believe that more worlds should still be added. In my mind,i have 2 ideas for new worlds that should be added,to return us to that time where we would wait in anticipation for a new release. My suggestions are: roman times, and reneisance. Now,you could argue dark ages is simmilar enough to reneisance, but imo theres enough thing in the reneisance period that could make an entire world out of it. For the plants i dont have a concrete idea, but colorful flowers and other things could be added. As for the zombies,we havent really seen a comeback of the screen door shield zombie,so i propose, painting zombie, who hides behind paintings for protection. We could also see a sculpture zombie, who pushes a stone sculpture in rront of himself. The reneisance fair is also mentioned in torchwoods description, and thats another reason why it could be added. As for roman times, olives and simmilar plants could be the main foucs. The normal zombies would wear togas, and things like spear zombies, who have more range than normal zombies, could be the main threats. For now, thats all ive thought up. What do you all think, should these periods be added to the game, and are there any other plant and zombie concepts for these periods you wiuld like to share? [link] [comments]

Posted: 12 Jan 2020 04:50 PM PST I've played PvZ2 since it's release before quitting in 2016. EA has seemed to add in a lot of new plants, including Dazey Chain which seems rather nice but the event for it has ended. Is there any way to obtain this plant now? [link] [comments]
