- So yeah, I decided to experiment with this zombot and I found this out by letting the game run for like two minutes. In my opinion this is the only way to make this battle actually challenging.
- This layout works for the 3 chilli zomboss fight (with hazel tournament). Zomboss dies 7 times in approx 1.5 mins and getting 5 gems / fight.

My Favorite Plants with Zombies!: Octo Zombie! Posted: 03 Feb 2021 04:28 PM PST Another week, another episode but this time it's Zombies! Did they finally get to Stephen's succulent brain? Well, not quite. Our master of mysterious design wanted a change so here we go with Octo Zombies as this week's... "favorite". Enjoy! Octo Zombie As a designer making levels, I wear two hats, like playing chess against yourself. I'm the player, in which case I hate seeing those wretched Octo Zombies show up, but I'm also the level creator, whose job is to throw zombies at the player in furtherance of the greater goal of feasting on the player's tender, juice-filled brains. Few zombies make that brain-feasting a reality faster than Octo Zombie. He's the best! In the grand scheme of things, plants are ranged while zombies are melee; zombies tend to do their damage up close. Octo Zombie is one of the exceptions, turning the plant strategy of hanging back and delivering damage at a distance back against the plants --that is to say, the player (owner of the aforementioned brains that would go splendidly with a light, sparkling drink). Worse still, from the delicious-brained player's point of view, Octo's attacks don't simply destroy plants, they immobilize them, denying the player grid space on the lawn. If you have a lawn full of plants, a cluster of Octos suddenly appearing can turn your tactical situation upside down in a matter of seconds. Unattended Octos render whole rows unusable. As a player I dread hearing that whoosh-whoosh-woosh as a herd of Octos pitches octopuses all over my plants. Wearing the player hat, I try to keep empty spaces in the back row and quickly stick buffer plants up front to catch the octopuses while I ready a Plant Food solution to the Octos' existence. And as a designer, what's the counter to that? Heh heh heh... more Octos. I'll get those brains yet, tasty player! Count on it! They'll go great in a salad with some pine nuts! [link] [comments]

Side-stepping the dreaded Penny's Pursuit level auto-completiong bug Posted: 03 Feb 2021 12:17 PM PST The BugIf you are playing the game on two or more devices, linked via an e-mail address submitted to PopCap's servers, you are very likely experiencing this annoyance - you start playing Penny's Pursuit on one device, then play on another, and suddenly all the levels are marked as already completed on all difficulties, despite that you haven't played them yet, making you miss the first-clear rewards. Notes
The Solution
That's it. After doing the above steps all levels are marked as uncompleted and the first level is unlocked. You can now play the game on either device and when the devices sync, your progress will be carried to all the linked devices. You will have to repeat this procedure for each new event. For course, the proper solution is for PopCap to re-design their data synchronization algorithm - but don't hold you breadth hoping for this to happen any time soon. [link] [comments]
