[NEWS] Update 8.5 is now live!

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 04:01 PM PST

We're creeping slowly towards the festive end of the year, with Food Fight and Feastivus coming up but also the thing that everyone's been waiting for… the end of 2020.

(Please note: I'll be releasing more in-depth details closer to the actual date/time the below content goes live at - This post is only a summary of what's coming up - If you have specific questions about upcoming content, they will be answered at a later date).

    New Content:

    • Daily Calendar
      • Get rewarded for every day you log in with Gems, Coins and even a premium plant!
      • '7-Day Streak' Calendar - Log into PvZ 2 every day to pick up your daily reward, and log in consecutively every day to make the most of your rewards! The streak resets weekly so you can collect rewards again daily.
      • 'Welcome to the Garden' Calendar - Log in for at least 7 days (you don't even have to do every day!) to get rewarded and unlock Torchwood for free!
      • The 'Welcome to the Garden' calendar is only available once per user, and does not reset once you have collected all the rewards.
    • Food Fight
    • Festivus

    New Plants:

    • Headbutter Lettuce
      • Turn it up to 11 and throw up the horns! Headbutter's pretty intense and zombies better get out of the way while it's rocking out.
    • Boingsetta
      • A true multitasker on the lawn! She bounces, chills, hands out damage galore and also counters certain zombies and other critters.

    New Zombies:

    • ZCorp Consultant Zombie
      • She's the ultimate scrum master, and here to make the zombie organization more agile to achieve projected brainz eating results!
      • Consultant Zombie tosses zombies up and down to different lanes, out of the way of her path.
      • Can also change direction and has a 1 in 4 chance of doing one of the following:
        • No change at all
        • Move up one lane
        • Move down one lane
        • Reverse horizontal direction

    New Arena Seasons: Season 22!

    New Penny's Pursuits stuff:

    • New levels: Think outside the lawn
      • Zcorp is attempting a hostile lawn takeover. Show 'em the door!

    Fixes and Improvements:

    • Potions were previously causing weird interaction with rail carts, so now Potions can't appear on rail lines.
    • Fixed some image corruption that happens sporadically with tab icons in the quest menu.
    • Improved readability (larger sizes and more text contrast) in the Rift Perks display.
    • Made additional space so that Buff/Bruise icons are showing correctly in the Arena.
    • A couple improvements Boost tiles. Such as to avoid boost tiles overlapping with Mold on the lawn, changing spawning to make them more useful, and to avoid spawning on a tile that already has a boost tile on it.
    • Lost Pilot zombies can now be affected by Blover (such as with the Reinforce-mint combo) after landing on the lawn.
    • Fixed clipping on certain device resolutions on the bottom of store items.
    • Implemented a candidate fix for a crash caused by the shovel cursor not clearing itself out properly at the end of a level.
    • Fixed a Fuel-for-ads watching exploit.
    • A few store display optimizations for typographical reasons for languages other than English and for listing displays.
    • Fixed Chicken Wrangler and Weasel Hoarder zombies displaying with chickens/weasels after they've already been let loose.
    • Explode-o-vine no longer dies from being smashed while it has its shield active.

If you do not currently see the update as being available to download, please refresh or check back later. Some local App stores globally may take longer than others to refresh and display the update being available. We don't have control over the App Stores in question so you may need to check back in a bit if you don't immediately see it.

Pvz2 Needs a new world, not more seediums.

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 01:11 AM PST

For almost 2 years the only ''new'' content we have been getting is random seedium plants and arena plants. Whats the point in having soooo many seediums. Most players wont even be able to get even 20% of them. Why not take all that time makeing seediums and put it into a new world and stuff. We aredy got some new zombies in penny's pursuit. Why not take all this energy and make some new content that everyone can enjoy. Pvz2C has a tons of more content (Still isnt better tho). But you get my point. Pvz2 needs a new world. I can't understand whats the point in just making seediums over and over and over.

Pvz2 needs to have some more creative seediums

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 01:02 AM PST

Recentualy most have been a better vershion of a existing plant (Murkadamia Nut,Headbutter Lettuce, etr) They need to have some difrent mechanics or something that makes them more interesting. For exaple The Witch Hazel, it has a interesting mechanic and is a plant that is pretty interesting (Electric blueberry too). Pvz2 just needs something difrent.

    [NEWS] Introducing... Turkeypult!

    Posted: 09 Nov 2020 04:01 PM PST

If you ever wanted to start a food fight, this would be the perfect plant to really make the competition look… poultry. Get it, poultry/paltry? Nevermind…

Turkeypult lobs zomboid-like turkeys, tumbling through the air where it causes projectile damage by dive bombing any unfortunate zombies. Once back on terra firma, it goes on to charge down and wreak havoc on any in-coming zombies on that lane.

When pumped up with Plant Food, it fires a storm of large, armored zomboid-turkeys all over the lawn (A Turkzilla-storm!). These zomboid-turkeys are faster and sturdier than your usual fresh ones.

Stat Table: Level, Sun Cost, Cool down, Hitpoints, Damage, Plant Food Damage, No. Zomboid-turkeys launched during PF

Level Sun Cost Cool down Hitpoints Damage Plant Food Damage No. Zomboid-turkeys launched during PF
    1 150 5 300 10 20 6
    2 125 4.5 350 15 30 8
    3 125 4.5 400 20 40 10
    4 125 4.5 450 25 50 12
    5 100 4 550 30 60 14

Plant levels shouldn't be a thing in Battlez.

    Posted: 10 Nov 2020 03:48 AM PST

I haven't played PvZ2 Battlez in a while, but hear me out. There shouldn't be plant levels in Battlez. It forces F2Ps (who don't want to spend) to spend money to grind/spend money just to level up their own plants. If you're against someone who has higher level plants than you, you automatically lose. Your line-up doesn't matter. The strategy won't matter. Nothing matters if plant levels are the only thing that you worry about.

I currently do not play PvZ2, so please tell me if anything has changed!
