    [News] Introducing… Shine Vine!

Do you like SUN? Do you bounce out of bed with a spring in your step?

Time to wake up and seize the day lawn! With Shine Vine, your sun generating plants gain emergency stun defense, while also getting a happy sun production boost as they defend lawns and brainz everywhere!

Shine Vine is a versatile vine plant that boosts the amount of sun produced by sun generating plants planted within it and also generates a bit of sun itself! But there's more… Shine Vine is able to defend itself and its partnered plant by firing off a blinding flash at approaching zombies leaving them stunned and extracting a bit of sun from them.

Its Plant Food ability is a huge rainbow of joy, producing a fountain of sun with an amplified blinding flash that both damages and stuns zombies in the area. The affected zombies also cough up bits of sun as a side effect of exposure.

There are a couple exceptions to boosting the sun of other sun producers which is that it won't boost Moonflower due to fact of, well… Sun and Moon. Enough said. But also it won't boost instant use sun plants such as Gold Bloom or Solar Tomato.

    Stat Table:

Level Sun Cost Cooldown (sec) Hitpoints Amt. extra sun produced by sun producer w/SV Amt. sun produced by SV Amt. sun produced by SV's PF attack Amt. sun produced immediately by PF on SV Stun duration (normal) Flash damage (normal) Stun duration (PF) Flash damage (PF)

You may have fought many powerful gargs, maybe even zomboss himself. However, you haven’t experienced true invincibility until you have fought these gentlemen

I played PVZ2 when it was released and has stopped playing for several years. I recently came back to the game, unlocked every world and have 12 world keys leftover. Is that normal?

    Plant Idea: Lava-nder

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 09:54 PM PDT

    Family: Pepper-mint

    Sun cost: 50/75/100...

Special: Damage and effect gets higher the more is placed on a spot. The more on the field the more expensive it is. Cannot be frozen and melts surrounding plants Cannot be burned by Adventureer Zombies

Ability: The Lava-nder would spit out a patch of lava infront of it, damaging zombies like Lava Guava. The more that are placed on one spot, the larger the lava patch is

Plant food: Creates a Jalapeno like fire burst down one lane. IF 3 ARE PLACED ON ONE SPOT: The burst goes down three lanes

Pepper-mint boost: The lava it spews turns blue and slows enemies while damaging them.

After spending loads of time playing Garden Ops and getting loads of Zombie items and a tiny bit of plant items, i finally got something cool! I mainly play peashooter and this is my first costume.

    Self-Firing Magnifying Grass?

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 02:36 PM PDT

I was doing the Shine Vine quest, level 3, and my Magnifying Grasses would, randomly, fire a shot on their own. It didn't seem to use up any sun when this happened. Is this something that happens when she reaches a certain level? Or is this some kind of interaction between her and Shine Vine/Gold Tiles?

Question about the power-mint seeds availability in the store

    Posted: 31 Mar 2020 04:02 AM PDT

As several threads have already noted, there is now a bundle in the Store that costs 25 mints and gives you five 5-seed packets for random power mints.

On the one hand, it is good, because people who are inclined to gamble do not need to wait for the next Improve-mint event (probably months away) to upgrade all their mints. On the other hand, it is bad for those people who want to improve a particular mint or have some mints maxed out already and do not want to receive randomly seeds for them.

I am not here it praise or criticize this new policy of PopCap. However, I have some questions concerning it that I would like answered. In particular:

    1. Does this bundle of 25 random power mint seeds replace the "mint-of-the-month" - or will it be in addition to it. (The latter would be the best of both worlds).

    2. Is this a temporary experiment, or is it how it is going to be like this every month from now on?

    3. Will the Improve-mint event ever return - i.e., would it make sense for people who are willing to wait and unwilling to gamble to save up their mints until they can upgrade exactly what they want to?

Ok EA we cant buy it with mints but we have to buy it with money.

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 11:01 AM PDT

    True

    Posted: 30 Mar 2020 10:32 AM PDT

This is honestly terrible. The power mint pinata places you in the hands of RNG, and you only give 5 seed packets per each mint, so only 5 packets for 5 mints. Enlighten-Mint costs money, but that’s understandable. I would much prefer having a choice of which mint’s seed packets I could buy.
