    [NEWS] Introducing… Olive Pit!

Love 'em or hate 'em, with or without pizza, this is one undeniably fruitful friend to have on your lawn!

    Introducing… Olive Pit!

This tricksy plant drills down into the ground, and acts as a pit that unwitting zombies fall into and to be instantly vanquished. Olive pit does mind it's manners, and while it can devour multiple zombies at once it can only handle a certain number of zombies as it needs time to digest, but as it levels up, it can handle even more zombies.

Sounds simple enough, but it's other role is to regularly dispense zombie-slowing oil on the tiles in front of it in order to inconvenience incoming zombies. This gives the rest of your plant complement more time to take out the shuffling horde, or is it to flavor up the zombies before they get eaten? Worth noting that after Olive Pit is done digesting it'll serve up an extra large splash of oil that will cover extra area than normal.

Olive Pit can also stay healthy as it can't be eaten by Zombies! Being said, Olive Pit can be smashed/crushed/attacked by zombie projectiles.

Gotta say, although pvz 2 did have micro transactions, and even made some of the plants from the first game purchasable with real money, it was still a great sequel nonetheless, as for pvz 3....................

Can anybody tell me what "Use Your Brainz EDU" was? I found out about it on the wiki, and I don't really know much about it, other then the fact it's discontinued.

If you look by Dave you'll see a zombie that survived zomboss dying. Dude didn't even attack my house, he just walked off screen.

    My Problems With Penny's Pursuit

    Posted: 21 Jul 2020 01:51 AM PDT

Penny's Pursuit was a recent feature added months ago and honestly I was pretty hyped about it before it came out because I thought it was going to be an Adventure 2 since it mentioned Dave getting kidnapped by Zomboss and Penny has to find him but PP is nothing close to that.

The main problem I have is that it's too repetitive and grindy and the difficulties throughout have really inconsistent spikes. With the levels being refreshed weekly or monthly along with the perks, it's really pointless because there wouldn't be a sense of progression. As I am writing this, I had already finished all the levels on all difficulties and maxed out my perk to 112 but what else is there? Rinse and repeat, keep grinding for +30% 3 to 4 times and play 3 more zomboss match right after with no diversification between them. It's all the same and it feels more like a boring chore than a fun gamemode.

Dumping ourselves back to the lack of diversification, the game has all the resources like the new Roman Zombies to make a new Roman world in Adventure mode. Adventure has been stagnant for years now and the addition of Penny's Pursuit seems really unnecessary for reasons above (unless it's treated as a side story, which it isn't)

Another problem I have is thag the Pyre Vine, Blastberry Vine and Ultomato are so limited to only separate difficulties. I want to upgrade my Pyre Vine to higher levels but I can't get Pyre Vine seed packets in higher difficulties unless I play in the easiest difficulty which has the most underwhelming rewards among all 3.bLet the players choose what we want.

What solutions could EA do about this?

Firstly, I had like to see a complete rework of Penny's Pursuit so it feels more like a secondary story mode than a grindfest. That being said, no grinding of the same levels over and over and over again, we had that in the past and it was called "Inzanity", absolute definition of insanity. As I've said the best chance is to turn it into a side story mode. Maybe just maybe, Penny's Pursuit could use a little more NEW minigames or from the first game.

Secondly, you know the bonus prize phase once you depleted all of Zomboss's health and you pretty much got nothing else to do but to collect coins and gems from dead zombies? I would like it if I just defeat zomboss in a conveyor style level with no time limit and that's it. With each difficulty having different AI changes and different sets of zombies (but that's more of a suggestion specific to if they still want 3 difficulty selections)

    Lastly, playtest your levels please

This is my strategy for the current arena, and this is mainly for low arenas, so high players, dont use this. Fill up map with olives, and sure make sure to have mower and plant food recharge trophys to increase win( see comments for more info)
