    Note: This is 3 days tournament. After that will be 4 days tournament - Boosterama - the same board, but all plants are boosted. Short tournaments have proportionally smaller tournament rewards (unless they forget to change it).

    Note: Practice is available 1 day early (Sunday) (Wednesday for Boosterama). New tournament starts tomorrow (Monday) (Thursday for Boosterama). Enter Arena leaderboard first so that the game "knows" your current league, then enter Practice. Otherwise zombies will be too weak (Soil level probably) compared to real Arena and your strategy will not work as good as you think.

     

    It's a recap of week #73 - my thread.

    Non-boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Contain-mint family pinata.

    Boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Contain-mint family pinata, #7 premium pinata x2.

     

    Locked plant: Sap-fling.

    Sun: 1200.

    Plant Food: 3 at the start.

    Time: 3:00.

     

    Banned: the usual 6 (Perfume, Gold Leaf, etc).

    Zombies: Imps (Yeti, Lost City, Bug Bot, Monk, Punk, Jurassic, Mermaid), Imp Cannon, Chicken Wrangler, Dodo.

    Note: Try to damage Chicken Wranglers before killing them instantly, because the score for Chicken Wrangler doesn't include scores for all chickens. The best damaging plants for these purpose are: Lightning Reed, Snapdragon, Laser Bean, Spikeweed/rock. (Examples of instant kills: Blover, Grimrose/Shadow Pea drag-down, Cauli/Hypno-shroom hypnosis, Witch Hazel/Imp Pear transformation).

    Note: Try not to destroy Imp Cannons as long as possible, because the score for a cannon doesn't include scores for all imps that could possibly be launched from it.

     

    Ambushes: 3-4 T.Rexes, Bot swarms (every 15 sec).

    Lawn: pre-planted 2 Sap-flings C1L1&5.

     

    Buffz: Contain-mint (+100%), Spear-mint (+100%).

    Bruisez: Bombard-mint (-50%). Note: see Buffz&Bruisez explained for bruised special attacks.

    Ineffective: No.

     

    Minimum info about your strategy: league, plant levels/mastery and score. Or you can post screenshot with the score. Otherwise it's hard to understand whether your strategy will work for other players with different plant levels/mastery and in different leagues.

    Why the cactus is the worst plant in pvz1

    The cactus is the worst plant in pvz1, here are my reasons:

    Damage

    The cactus has mediocre damage, about the same as a peashooter, but it's more expensive.

    It's purpose

    The cactus exists for one reason, countering one zombie. Yet, it is the worst at doing this.

    It is outclassed

    The blover is cheaper, removes EVERY balloon zombie in the screen + removes fog temporarily. And the cattail is twice as expensive, but can target balloon zombies everywhere in the lawn and it also has a fire rate 2 times faster. (Any explosive plant can kill balloon zombies too).

    In conclusion, the cactus is a peashooter that costs 25 more sun, that extra cost is justified by it being able to counter one zombie, but it is the worst at it's job...

    I beat the boss on my first try, zombies didn't get to a single lawnmower and I mowed Zomboss down. I don't think it was supposed to be that easy

    Is There any good PvZ1 Modding Community?

    Hello. Is there any good PvZ1 Modding community out there? Seems like i really cant find a good one. Im still a beginner to this whole modding stuff. Stuff like changing Zombies Spawn rates, changing the Zombies walking speed & eating speed, make a new level, etc. That last PERMANENTLY. I want to Mod the game and keep it for myself (if i want to).
