Weekly Penny's Pursuit Discussion #3: Solar Tomato's Vidi, Vici, BRAINZ! Posted: 21 Mar 2020 11:41 AM PDT For the sake of consistency, all of the levels will be on Extra Hot difficulty If an * is on the layout section, it means there is a score system in play as well Level 1: Space Time World, Survive for 120 seconds, Defeat 175 Zombies, Don't Lose More Than 30 Plants (optional), Locked and Loaded, Solar Tomato, Stallia, Grapeshot, Potato Mine, Imitater Potato Mine, Blover, Lava Guava, Tile Turnip; Red Stingers across Column 1, Sling Pea on column 2 Rows 1 and 5, Dandelion on Column 2 Rows 2 and 4, Homing Thistle on Column 2 Row 3, Pea-Nuts across Column 3. It's a quick ambush packed with Zombies, and all of your selected plants are actively against you in terms of bonus objectives. Gargantuars come in fast and they burn through everything, but the key in this level is stalling. There's a timer that you'll need to endure and ultimately, if you time your plants right and get good RNG, this level shouldn't pose all too much of a threat. Difficulty 3/5 Level 2: Frostbite Caves, Last Stand 1200 Sun, Endangered Electric Currants on Column 5 Rows 1 and 5, Downward Ice Flow on Column 6 Row 1 and Upward Ice Flow on Column 7 Row 4, all Sun Producers, Iceberg Lettuce, Melon Pult, Puff Shroom, Stallia, and all Power Mints are banned. * Honestly, this level isn't a pushover. The Endangered plants are somewhat useful but in the end it really doesn't work out. The ice floes have very weird placements, one drags zombies away from a Currant, the other is randomly placed and pointless. Doesn't matter for Weasels though, they are ruthless unless you have reliable DPS or you can kiss those plants goodbye. Difficulty 5/5 Level 3: Space Time World, Special Delivery [Phat Beet, Kernel Pult, Ultomato], Butter 100 Zombies, Flowers on Column 4 I have got to hand it to this level, while it's certainly the easiest level this week, it's also the most annoying. It is heavily dependent on RNG, especially early game, whether or not you get Butter, the Zombies can casually pass through all the defense you were setting up. But like I said, this level is easy, once you have at least a column of Kernel Pults and Phat Beets, nothing will get by, apart from those Prospectors, they are kind of fun killers, and Ultomatoes are just a little bonus. Difficulty 1/5 Level 4: Arena Lawn, Survive for 150 seconds, Defeat 250 Zombies, Last Stand 1750 Sun, all Sun Producers and Blover are banned (free plants are allowed but can't be placed during setup). * This level is not hard in the slightest, if we're talking about winning or losing, but you may find trouble in reaching 250 Zombies killed within that time limit, and I say insta kill, insta kill, insta kill. They work exceptional on this level, especially Explode-o-Nut which can be obtained for free now. Difficulty 2/5 Level 5: Modern Day, Never Have More Than 14 Plants (optional), Destroy 15 Healer Staffs, Minecart across Column 5 This level seems very reminiscent of Modern Day, Day 30. Same lawn, Minecart layout, lots of the Zombies from that level are here, and honestly the strategies don't differ too much. I can't say this level is 'hard' but I can certainly say that it will make you think more than average. Difficulty 4/5 Zomboss Fight: Zombot War Wagon, 5 Plant Types at maximum, Mold on last 4 Columns, Minecarts across Column 5 and on Column 4 Rows 1-3. 1600 Sun. The strategy to use for this fight is going to be similar to the one from last week. Notable threats are those Chicken Wranglers, and heck, even the Chickens he naturally spawns. Also, Minecarts heavily limit your planting space, just please make sure to pack Lightning Reeds. Difficulty 4/5 [link] [comments]

Help I can't get PVZ to work on steam Posted: 21 Mar 2020 08:36 PM PDT I'm using windows 10 home and can't figure out a way to play PVZ GOTY. Are there any solutions? Because every time I try to boot up the game it just says: Unable to load steam.dll. [link] [comments]

Posted: 22 Mar 2020 04:20 AM PDT I do not like pvz 3 as much as pvz1 and pvz2 Reasons why: 1. Online only I mean come on it is mobile game so it is supposed to be offline as well. 2. Portrait only mode. Since I played this on my Ipad it looked like this is really optimized for iphone or generally a phone 3. It really is unique, uniquely bad because the gameplay is bad but it is great cause they took so much risk so I appreciate that EA 4. I think that they were going to keep the same mechanics of pvz and just add some stuff and improve graphics but they literally changed everything I played this not so long maybe only played it about 2 weeks and I am just done. I would rather play other of my games especially when it is pvz we are talking about I played PvZ 2 more than PvZ 3. But I do appreciate it. Although I think some PvZ players will get disappointed at this game. This is literally the first time I hated a PvZ game I played it since PvZ 1 (well except the console and pc game). I hope they will really have a great new PvZ game (I think it is gonna be a while). [link] [comments]
