[Arena] Escape Root - You can't escape from bugs Posted: 20 Sep 2020 01:39 PM PDT Note: This is 3 days tournament. After that will be 4 days tournament - Boosterama - the same board, but all plants are boosted. Short tournaments have proportionally smaller tournament rewards. Note: Practice is available 1 day early (Sunday) (Wednesday for Boosterama). New tournament starts tomorrow (Monday) (Thursday for Boosterama). Enter Arena leaderboard first so that the game "knows" your current league, then enter Practice. Otherwise zombies will be too weak (Soil level probably) compared to real Arena and your strategy will not work as good as you think.
Non-boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Explosive/Bombard-mint family pinata. Boosterama special rewards: my prediction - #5 Explosive/Bombard-mint family pinata, #7 premium pinata x2. Explosive/Bombard-mint family pinata (7+1 plants): Cherry Bomb, Potato Mine, Primal Potato Mine, Escape Root, Grapeshot, Bombergranate, Explode-o-Nut +Strawburst. Note: Strawburst is a limited time plant, it may be excluded from the pinata. After EoN became seedium it was excluded from Explosive pinata in the shop, so it may be excluded too. Explode-o-Vine is a seasonal Arena plant, it's not included in any pinatas.
It's a rerun of tournament #59 but 3:00 instead of 1:30 - my thread. Locked plant: Escape Root. Note: Escape Root is still bugged: sometimes it doesn't swap with a plant. Grown Root sits at the initial spot and Root sprout appears instead of the targeted plant. Shovel up grown Root and you will get your plant back, but without swapping anything. Sun: 350. Plant Food: 3 at the start. Time: 3:00.
Banned: all sun production (11 plants), Blover, the usual 6 (Perfume, Gold Leaf, etc). Sun production available: 7 frozen Sun-shrooms C6-7 and 1 Sun-shroom C7L3. Note: When you start a match and have to choose seeds (before you click 'Let's rock' the first time in the lower right corner) you can shovel up pre-planted (not frozen) plants for no sun: click to look at the lawn (eye in the upper right corner) and shovel will be available. You can't shovel up pre-planted plants during the next stage (when you put plants on the lawn before starting the fight). Zombies: Basic Mummy, Torch, Newspaper, Hunter, Surfer.
Buffz: Bombard-mint (+100%). Bruisez: Fila-mint (-50%). Note: see Buffz&Bruisez explained for bruised special attacks. Ineffective: No.
Minimum info about your strategy: league, plant levels/mastery and score. Or you can post screenshot with the score. Otherwise it's hard to understand whether your strategy will work for other players with different plant levels/mastery and in different leagues.

The difficulties are separated with "/" and it is assumed that all levels have Imps, regular zombies, Conehead zombies, Buckethead zombies, Brickhead zombies and their equivalents (If not, it will be mentioned). This will be updated as I defeat more levels. Featured Plants: Hot Date Available Perks: Jalapeno Popper, Score Boost, Sun Break, Penny Shield, Poison Zombies, Instant Gargantaur, Boss Buster [Level 1]Area: Dark Ages Sun Amount: 1700 / 1500 / 1250 Plants: Banned plants are Blover and world specific plants. Zombies: Tomb Raiser Zombie, Pianist Zombie, Jester Zombie, Prospector Zombie, All Star Zombie. Like even a free plant snap pea is a better copy of chomper! So i think making chomper purchasable with gems would solve this entire problem.
